On the occasion of Christmas 2009, he organised five parties for nearly 1,500 Christian children from different districts of Tripoli. The parties included cakes and gifts given to the children by Santa Claus.

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan in 2009, he visited orphanages and nursing homes to provide residents with material assistance. Fadel’s wife Hala in turn organised a Ramadan banquet (Iftar) for 400 orphan children from the Tripoli region.

At the end of the 2009-2010 school year, more than 3,000 invitations were sent to students and parents at various public and private schools to attend a performance of an Italian circus troupe at the Tripoli International Fair.

For Christmas 2010, concerts were held for six days in the King Fahd Park, entertaining 3500 spectators from different schools and associations around Tripoli. Robert Fadel contributed to the Friends of Nawfal Palace Association and presented the group with the palace’s Christmas tree at an event presided over by Tripoli’s President of the Municipality. He also paid for the Christmas decorations for the St. Elie roundabout in the Mina district.

During Ramadan 2010, in his role as MP, Robert Fadel organised an Iftar banquet that brought together people, politicians and religious figures from all over the city.

For the feast of al-Adha (the Eid al-Kabir, or Feast of the Sacrifice), which commemorates the end of the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, Robert Fadel worked with the House of Charity and other organisations in Tripoli to purchase and distribute meat to the city’s poorest citizens, as prescribed by Islamic custom.

Robert Fadel maintains direct and permanent contact with members of the municipality, especially the presidents of the municipalities and the elected members of municipal councils. In 2010, he gathered them all together at a strategy dinner to discuss how best to serve the city and the region of Tripoli.

Robert Fadel has also given lectures at several economic institutions, amongst them the North Lebanon branch of Notre Dame University and the Northern Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture.
